Dave visits Furzley (about 2 miles North of Brook in the New Forest) and take a 3 mile circular route from the Half Moon Common National Trust car park.
My walk takes in Half Moon Common, Duck Hill, Crock Hill, Cadnam Common & Furzley Common and along the way I look out for the unusual Hexagon – shaped earthworks (on the edge of the Foxley Inclosure and explore Stagbury Hill (originally 4 bowl barrows & now an excellent viewpoint across the North of the Forest) .
My attempts to find & locate a couple of ancient boundary stones is only partly successful and Logan got to enjoy doing “Whippet Zoomies” in a small sandpit!
