Fawley & Ashlett Creek

In this episode Dave visits the pretty village of Fawley & even smaller hamlet of Ashlett Creek.

The South-Eastern corner of The New Forest with its wonderful views over Southampton Water & the Solent may be dominated by the oil refinery but South of Fawley the countryside is still peaceful and beautiful.

I start off in Fawley, exploring the Church & The Falcon Hotel pub before heading south across heathland & meadow paths to a delightful lake carpeted with water lilies in summer. I then head East to Ashlett Creek, an attractive inlet colourful with small boats, an old water mill and lovely pub (Jolly Sailor). The walk is around 5 miles in total.
