Dave visits Minstead – a small village set among lush meadows, almost completely surrounded by woodland.
The central green is overlooked by a quaint pub (The Trusty Servant Inn) whilst a scattering of outlying settlement ramble around a network of narrow lanes.
The walk takes me past many beautiful old thatched cottages, past the Furzey Gardens, through some charming wooded areas and ends at the All Saints Church (which has an unusual layout inside) that has a very famous person’s grave in the churchyard {I give you a clue at the start of the video!).
The route of the walk comes from a book – “Pocket Pub Walks -The New Forest” by Anne-Marie Edwards – to whom I m grateful.
